Using Digital Storytelling as a Strategy for Enhancing EFL Writing Skills

The present study is aimed at analyzing the impact of digital sto-rytelling on English as a Foreign Language (EFL) pre-service teachers’ writing skills. participants were 101 students, who enrolled in four distance courses Major private university Ecuador. Their ages ranged between 19 and 22 years old. They divided into one control (49) experimental (52) group since this used quasi-experimental approach combined with mixed-method design. instruments included pre-question-naire, pre-test, post-questionnaire, post-test. main findings show that there was significant improvement students’ skills, particularly aspects related to grammar vocabulary. In addition, storytelling us-ing Storybird perceived useful strategy develop participants’ EFL skills they more engaged activities allowed them demonstrate their knowledge when designing narrative projects.
